In 2011, Lauren Ellerman was named “Young Lawyer of the Year” by the Roanoke Bar Association for her work in the community. She fights for clients in a range of civil litigation matters, including nursing home litigation, serious personal injury litigation, medical malpractice, and claims involving non-compete provisions.

As co-author of How to Beat Your Virginia Non-Compete, Ms. Ellerman is dedicated to working on behalf of Virginia employees, including physicians, accountants, financial planners, and other business professionals who are starting new ventures in their careers. She has represented clients with cases related to non-compete agreements, non-solicitation agreements, breach of contract, breach of duty of loyalty, and misappropriation of trade secrets.

She also represents victims and their families in cases of nursing home neglect and medical malpractice. She has taught and lectured throughout the state advising families on selecting long-term care options. Prior to joining Frith & Ellerman, P.C., Ms. Ellerman worked for Sevila, Saunders, Huddleston & White in Leesburg, where she focused on commercial litigation, criminal law, and domestic law.

Ms. Ellerman and her husband, Whit, are very active in the Roanoke Valley: opening a new restaurant, The River and Rail; leading the fundraising effort for the Roanoke Dog Park; volunteering with Second Presbyterian Church; writing for Blue Ridge Outdoors; and spending time with their adorable two dogs.
